Mark Billinger - Director
Mark Billinger is a Senior Structural & Civil Engineer with more than 25 years’ professional experience in the design of structural systems for buildings and infrastructure. Mark has expertise in all aspects of concrete technology; design and detailing of steel fibre, reinforced, post-tensioned and pre-cast concrete structures; and structural steel framing systems. He has experience in design construct, retail, educational, health, commercial/residential, telecommunication and infrastructure projects. He holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Civil Engineering, researching the ‘Behaviour of Slender High-Strength Reinforced Concrete Columns’.
Mark has held Project Manager/Supervisor/Leader roles for various multidisciplinary projects which has given him a broader knowledge in these fields and allows him to value add to projects in all disciplines. Mark’s previous roles have been Office Manager & Structural Manager, focusing on business development, customer service, delivery, technical excellence, buildability and Best for Project while keeping a hand in detailed design.
Highlights of his career to date include, The Lights Community & Sports Centre, 2005 & 2016 Colonnades Shopping Centre Redevelopments, Glenside Campus Redevelopment – Health Facilities, Precinct 1 New Works, Holdfast Shores cable-stayed pedestrian bridge and various multi-storey apartments at Holdfast Shores. In recent years, Mark has gained extensive experience in ‘jointless’ floor steel fibre concrete slabs, detailing many warehouse slabs in Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia & South Australia.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife & daughters and the collecting, researching and chasing old antique bottles.
