Neil Pearson - Project Director

Neil   PhotoNeil Pearson has over thirty-two years’ experience in engineering and management, specialising in the design of structures using steel, reinforced concrete and post-tensioned concrete. He is experienced in all stages of projects from concept design to documentation and construction supervision.  

Highlights of his early career include the structural analysis for the thirty-one-storey State Bank Centre, Adelaide, which was at the time Australia’s tallest earthquake resistant structure, and the Clipsal Powerhouse basketball stadium. Other highlights include significant buildings at both Adelaide and Flinders Universities, along with major hospital projects at St Andrews, Ashford, Calvary and Women's & Children's Hospitals.     

Aged Care also features heavily in Neil's portfolio including multiple significant projects for Eldercare, Helping Hand and Regis Aged Care whilst residential projects of significance have included the Palais Apartments on North Terrace and East Apartments on Hutt Street.   Recent project successes include award winning educational projects at both Adelaide High School and Immanuel College as well as the challenging Penfolds Magill Estate Cafe & Cellar Door Redevelopment.  

Neil has served the engineering profession in various roles with Engineers Australia including being on the national Structural College Board from 2000-2004.   

Outside the office Neil is a keen golfer and a loyal Adelaide Crows member.
